Mediation

Mediation is one of several kinds of alternative dispute resolution. Mediation is an informal and confidential way for people to resolve disputes with the help of a neutral mediator who is trained to help people discuss their differences. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong or issue a decision. Instead, the mediator helps the parties work out their own solutions to problems.  Mediation has a structure, timetable and dynamics that “ordinary” negotiation lacks. The process is private and confidential, possibly enforced by law. Participation is typically voluntary. The mediator acts as a neutral third party and facilitates rather than directs the process.

How can I help?  As a trained mediator with over 35 years of financial experience and over 25 years of experience working with divorcing couples, I can work with a couple to divide their assets and debts, assist in developing a workable parenting plan, and assist in developing child support and/or spousal support that works for everyone.
